Busy few weeks…

Hello everyone!  It has been a busy few weeks here and are enjoying this nice change to the weather.  We are happy to announce that Lorelei HM, our new little girl, was Reserve Champion for the Region 9 Southern Series Filly Championship the last weekend of September.  It was our first show with her and we were not sure what to expect.  She was a handful a few times, taking in all of the excitement and having a few 2 yr old moments, but overall we were very proud of her.  She knew what her job was when she got into thering.

We are now trying to make our final decisions on who were will be breeding to, but we are very excited for our future with her.

Our next exciting news is that Rhinestone Cowboy received a 75.8 in First-3 this weekend!  We went to a Dressage show in Katy,TX at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center as a warm-up for the Region 9 USDF and SWDC Dressage Championships coming up in a few weeks.  On Saturday, we showed in Training-3 and received a 71.2% and then went to the First Level class and he was even better.  In that test he received a 9.0 on his walk and 8.5 for gaits! It has been a hard road at times with him and it feels so nice to see that all the hard work and patience is paying off.  I know he has the ability and the talent and now we are developing the partnership to make it all come together.  Way to go RC!

Coming up this weekend we have the American Hanoverian Inspection in Houston.  I will be riding a 4yr old for the Mare Inspection and then our weanling, Ragdoll RHR, a Romancero H offspring, will be inspected.  Looking forward to seeing this little filly move and strut her stuff!

Thanks for reading and we will keep you posted!
